I went there. Aren't you talking to me?
2. Where did you go?
First I went to Taitung City by car. Driving from Hengchun to Taitung City takes about two hours. After that I took the train to Taipei. Taking a train from Taitung City to Taipei takes around four hours. Then I took a plane to Seattle. Taking a plane from Taipei to Seattle takes about twelve hours. From the Seattle airport I took a bus to Port Angeles. Taking a bus from Seattle to Port Angeles takes around four hours.
Two weeks after all that I took a plane to Las Vegas, Nevada, where my sister lives. Traveling between Port Angeles and Las Vegas involved two four hour bus rides and two two hour plane rides.
3. When did you go there?
I went there in the beginning of July, and I came back in the beginning of August.
4. What did you do there?
In Port Angeles I went running every other day. I read some books and I watched old movies. I also went to restaurants and bars, but there aren't many choices when it comes to restaurants and bars in Port Angeles.
In Las Vegas I drank a lot of beer. I visited the Stratosphere and many of the famous casinos. My favorite place in Las Vegas is Red Rock Canyon. I think the scenery there is very beautiful.
5. Why did you go there?
I went to Las Vegas because a) my sister and her family live there, and b) because it sounded fun.
I went to Port Angeles because that's where my parents live. I also went there to stare at trees.
The best summer vacation I've ever had was the epic road trip we took from Seattle to Yellowstone National Park. My daughters were the perfect ages for that trip, and fun was had by all. I doubt I'll ever top that trip, primarily due to the ages of those involved and the logistics of the drive. We embarked on another road trip between Seattle and northern California that was almost as good, but the weather during that trip was too cold for swimming.
I'd rank this year's summer vacation at #3, behind the Yellowstone and northern California trips. During this vacation there was no family drama, and even though I often missed and worried about my daughters it was still very good. I hadn't been to Las Vegas before, and it proved to be more interesting than I'd expected.
And what about you? How was your summer vacation? Where did you go? Who went with you? When did you go there? What did you do there? Why did you go there?

NOTE: The questions above are from the eight grade English textbook. As you can probably tell, this is why I confined myself to "I."
