1. A lot of rural townships and municipalities have already acquired or are moving toward this "slow city certification." It is often in the news in Pingtung, too. I don't know what the application process involves, but once certified, participating townships, municipalities and districts (?) can participate in a global network promoting "slow travel."
2. All these stories about horrific traffic accidents in the news, and they have the audacity to hold THIS kind of event? Seems pretty tone deaf if you ask me.
