*Apologies. I was previously writing this district's name as "Jiading," assuming, wrongly, that they were using "jia" for 茄 . I have since learned that this is incorrect.
1. Some people in rural areas be robbing sh*t. You might think to yourself, "Naw, nobody'd ever steal THAT," but then someone comes along and steals that very thing. Beehives, manhole covers, wooden boards from walkways, copper wiring, it all gets stolen at some point.
2. Lotus Lake and the Guomao Community were recently discussed in the Zuoying District, Kaohsiung City entry.
3. This road is super dangerous in the best of times. It's not far from the southern end of the Kaohsiung Port and Xiaogang's industrial area. It's a place where cars and scooters pass between huge trucks with low visibility at high speeds. It gets scary.
Also, another article says this same section of Yanhai Road is in Linyuan, not Xiaogang. Judging by the picture I'm pretty sure it's Xiaogang, but not 100% sure.
