1. Beinan Township kind of "wraps around" the north end of Taitung City, from the stretch of ocean around Shanyuan to the Zhiben Hot Spring Area. The high magnitude recorded in Beinan was probably sent from an area closer to Zhiben, in the mountains.
2. This is assuming, of course, that no typhoons disrupt the project between now and 2026. This area is very prone to flooding.
