Jiuru Township is north of Pingtung City. It's on the Gaoping (Kaoping) River across from Kaohsiung. 九如鄉位於屏東市北部 ， 九如在高屏溪東岸 ， 高屏溪西岸就是高雄 。
According to the last census, 21,629 people live in Jiuru. 上次的人口統計表示 ， 九如的人口是21,629人 。
As you'll see from these pictures, Jiuru is mostly farms and farmers. There's not much for tourists in this area. 從這些照片看的出來 ， 九如大部分是農田，觀光景點不多 。
This picture was taken in Lungshuikeng, at the southwest corner of the township. 上面的照片在冷水坑拍的 ， 冷水坑是九如的西南部 。
This drainage canal / river is in the same area. According to Google Maps this is the "Wuluo River." 這條溝渠/小溪在同一個地方， Google地圖說這個是武洛溪 。
The area northeast of Lungshuikeng is very empty and flat. This field is just outside the Grand Blossom Grange. 冷水坑東北部的地區是空曠的平地 ， 這農地在大花農場旁邊 。
The Grand Blossom Grange was more interesting than I thought it would be. The staff are very knowledgeable about their products, most of which feature rose petals as a primary ingredient. There's also a nice tea shop/restaurant inside. 大花農場比我想像的有趣 。 那邊的工作人員對農場賣的產品很了解 ，大部分的產品以玫瑰當主要材料 ，裡面的小餐廳也不錯 。
The tea shop/restaurant area is surrounded by flowers which are cultivated here. There's not much shade, but it smells very nice. 餐廳後面都是農場種的花 ， 沒有樹蔭， 可是這裡很香 。
This pizza was made with rose petals. Rose petals were kneaded into the dough, and rose petal jam was used as a topping. It was a very good pizza. 披薩的餅皮裡面有玫瑰花瓣 ， 披薩上還有點玫瑰醬 ， 很好吃 !
To the east of the Grand Blossom Grange, not far from the Formosa Freeway, is Zhenliao Village. Between the two places is the Taiwan Banana Research Institute. We intended to visit that place, but unfortunately (?) it was closed for the day. 大花農場的東邊 ， 靠近福爾摩沙高速公路有圳寮里 。 圳寮和大花農場中間有台灣香蕉研究所 。 我們本來想去香蕉研究所，可惜那一天它沒有開 。
There's a wetland down the road from this village. It might be worth visiting if you're interested in birds. 圳寮的路上還有一塊濕地 ， 喜歡賞鳥的人大概會覺得濕地比較有趣 。
From Jhenliao we drove northwest to Central Jiuru. It's a busy place, but again, not much for tourists here. This sign proclaims that Jiuru is the "hometown of lemons," and there are indeed a lot of lemons grown in the area. 從圳寮往西北開往九如市區 。 這裡很熱鬧，可是沒有景點。 這地標說九如是檸檬的故鄉 ! 這附近確實種很多檸檬 。
The traffic through Central Jiuru can be dangerous. If you're passing through be careful. 市區的交通有點危險 ， 在這裡開車要小心。
This market is on the other side of the sign. 地標後面的菜市場 。
To the northeast are former pig farms. 東北部有這些建築 ，應該是以前的養豬場 。
Further northeast, across the township line from Yanpu, is Fengping Village. This roadside shrine is consecrated to Guanyin. 更往東北邊 ， 快到鹽埔的地區是豐平里 。 路邊的觀音菩薩。
That solid green patch is rice. Not sure what the crop in the foreground is. 中間的綠地是稻米 ， 前方的植物不知道是什麼 。
West of Central Jiuru are two bridges, both leading to Dashu District in Kaohsiung. Fo Guang Shan ("Foguang Mountain") is on the other side of the river from here. 九如市區的西部有兩座通往高雄大樹區的橋 ， 這裡離在橋的另外一邊的佛光山很近 。
